1941-World War II
In the midst of World War II,
aggression and fear loom the air.
People question what Germany will do,
overthrows and attacks can be quite a scare.
In mid-Jun, it seems the war might never end,
while British ships and the Bismarck sink to the depths.
Operation Barbarossa is soon to begin
as Germany continues it’s monster steps.
On July 12, the British and Soviets find stable ground,
and Syria soon falls and is taken over by the Allies.
While news of the Atlantic Charter spreads around,
Roosevelt and Churchill pray their decisions are wise.
Suffering in Germany continues to get worse,
with Jews being forced to bear the gold star.
The United States and Britain continue to converse,
but the use of gas chambers in Germany calls to question just how far?
As the Nazi’s carry on their treacherous plot,
capturing and murder become the dreadful routine.
The United States cannot prepare for the coming shot,
when Japan bombs Pearl Harbor, still haunted by the screams.
As the unbearable year comes to a halt,
the US and Britain must declare war on Japan.
Germany’s declaration on the United States is soon to be fought,
as the Allies will unite to prove the best they can.
